Snoop on the street?

Snoop Dogg has revealed that he would love to add a guest stint on Coronation Street to his list of cameo appearances. The US rapper said that fans are often surprised to hear that he is a huge fan of the ITV soap. He told The Sun: "When I'm in Britain I love to eat Indian food and chill in my hotel room and watch Coronation Street."I've done guest roles in shows in the US. If Coronation Street want me to make a cameo then, cool, let's do it. Maybe I could just play myself doing a concert in Manchester and I could come in to the pub for lunch."Snoop said that the soap is as iconic in Manchester as the Statue Of Liberty is in New York."I'm not interested in other soaps like EastEnders, Coronation Street is what it's all about," he said.I bet him and Norris would get on like a house on fire! (Thanks to The Sun and DS)

Funniest show award for "The Inbetweeners"

The Inbetweeners has been named the 'Funniest Show on TV' at the Loaded Lafta Awards.Joe Thomas, who plays Simon in the E4 comedy, credited the show's writers for its success when he collected the award, but admitted to "cringing" when he reads his script."Plenty of times we'll get the script and read through, cringing," he said. "I think that's pretty much every script we do. Kind of my embarrassment central gland doesn't operate anymore, it's been kind of overloaded and doesn't exist anymore."Other winners at last night's ceremony included Justin Lee Collins, who scooped the 'Funniest Man' gong, and Michael McIntyre, who picked up the award for 'Best Stand Up'.I agree that its funny but its not my favourite i prefer the cringe enducing Peep Show.

Which are funnier....

Female Comedians? 3 (23%)
Male Comedians? 10 (76%)

So men are funnier its official. Well not really but you have spoken and 10 of you prefer Male comedians.I must say i prefer Male comedians Peter Kay,  Michael McIntyre, Sean Lock and theres no doubt they are more popular than femalecomedians.  Im not saying women arnet funny but..... i am.

Comedy Catchphrases

A catchphrase is a sure way to get your show some attention and the more people quote it the more popular your show becomes. A catchphrase from Little Britain has been voted the UK's favourite in an online poll. According to The Sun, Vicky Pollard's "Yeah but, no but..." topped the survey, ahead of Homer Simpson's "Doh!".Catherine Tate's schoolgirl Lauren took third place with "Am I bovvered?", followed by Victor Meldrew's "I don't believe it" and "Lovely jubbly" from Del Boy.Little Britain also claimed sixth and tenth place with "I'm a laydee" and "I'm the only gay in the village".These ones are obvious winners but my favourite quote not really a catchphrase comes from Homer Simpson "Ah Beer the answer and cause of all lifes problems."

Comedian Profile:Rhod Gilbert

My fave comedian the welsh great RHOD GILBERT! He is king of the rant in  my book talking about everything that winds him up from TOG douvets to torches with the power of a  million candles. He is from Wales so i can identify with him about the comedy of the places he's been to people he's met.He has won a few awards 12 actually and is getting more popular all the time with the success of his first stand up DVD "The Award Winning Mince Pie" (i have my copy!) which saw Gilbert question his sanity, his career and his life after suffering a mental breakdown brought on by the award-winning mince pie at a motorway services.
He also hosts a BBC Wales Saturday Morning show where he rips into his listeners as they send in stupid messages to wind him up.He is also the creator of the fictional town of Llanbobl in Wales and he told people for years that he came from there! Rhod's new programme Rhod Gilberts Work Experience starts tonight on BBC1 Wales which sees him take on jobs tonight a refuse collector in Barry (Gavin and Stacey) where funnily enough i lived there for 12 years before moving just outside Barry. If you have Sky you might be able to get BBC Wales but if you live outside Wales and dont you wont get it!! Heres a clip of Rhod talking about a service stations. "I only went in for a shit and came out with a two man tent a directors chair and a torch with the power of a million candles!"

TV Spotlight: Charlie Brookers Newswipe

The sharp tongued critic returns!!! He talks about whats got us talking on the news and tears it to shreds and laughs out our hilariously troubled world.Somehow i dont think the Haiti earthquake will be among the subjects being ridiculed but i bet the snow coverage and election decisions will be and he will have you laughing as he insults all involved. He's grumpy and sweary but i admire him for his truthfullness i bet he wont be invited on BBC Breakfast to promote his show! Catch it tonight BBC4 10:30pm.

Comedian Profile: Miranda Hart

Lets be honest there arnet many funny female comedians about.I mean Jo Brand and Catherine Tate are quite popular but name me one other funny female comedian. Well ive found one!I first saw Miranda Hart on the superb Not Going Out as the cleaner Babara in Lee Macks comedy who always manages to break everything. When i found out she was going to get her own sitcom i was over joyed! I tuned in like the millions of others and laughed for the whole half hour. Shes incredibly tall and odd looking (in a good way) which adds to her comedy performance and her comedy timing is great. It was so good the BBC have ordered another series! Hart starred as Teal in two series of the BBC television comedy sci-fi series Hyperdrive, which ran from January 2006 to August 2007. She has also appeared in French & Saunders, Nighty Night, Absolutely Fabulous, The Vicar of Dibley, Lead Balloon, William and Mary, Smack the Pony (for which she wrote and performed in a couple of sketches and a number of video diaries) and Stupid! She appeared in the third series of Comic Relief does Fame Academy in 2007, and became the second contestant to be voted off the show. In 2009, she appeared in the last ever sketch from French and Saunders, also in aid of Comic Relief. Thats alot of comedy!

New Director, New Spidey!

Marc Webb, Michael Bay and Gary Ross have been linked to the director's chair for the Spider-Man reboot, reports Entertainment Weekly.Studio Sony yesterday confirmed that director Sam Raimi and star Tobey Maguire will be replaced in the superhero's next big screen adventure, which will revamp the character in favour of continuing with the established incarnation. The story reportedly puts Peter Parker "in a more contemporary setting, as a teenager battling today's issues".I think the Spider Man reboot will be good after the bloated third film but who should play the new web slinger? Robert pattison apparently.Yes its Edward Cullen from the Twilight films and no im not a Twilight person so im not sure if he would be good for the role because ive never seen him act before. Theres close competition beetween him and Michael Cera. The  reboot will open in 2012.

Is 3D the future?

Last year saw the release of big titles such as Avatar and Up.What do they have in common? They were both available in 3D to watch at your cinema. 3D makes the images on the screen appear three dimensional and looks as though its pooping out of the screen.I saw Avatar and Up in the cinemas but i didnt watch them in 3D because 1.They cost extra and 2.I dont find 3D that exciting. Moviemakers are telling us 3D is the way forward but really 3D has been around for ages not in films granted but im not bothered how many dimensions i watch it in to be honest. So do you think 3D is the future or would you rather just watch the 2D and save a few quid?

TV Spotlight: Survivors

The series will build to a massive climax in episode six and Abby and the gang's life is about to get even more harrowing. Hopefully we can get another series as the original lasted three series.Only time will tell......

You lot have suprised me again.Rob Brydon is your winner for favourite comedian and as much as i like him for his role as Uncle Bryn i dont think he is by far the best.At first place i would have put Michael McIntyre who was one of the rising stars of 2009 and having seen him live in Cardiff i was in stiches.Lee Evans is a worthy second but ive never really liked him that much.I would have put Rhod Gilbert second because his rants are brilliant. Im suprised Sean or Charlie didnt get a vote but maybe they arnet on as many things as the others and arnet as well known. Thanks to the thirteen of you who voted and make sure you vote again in this weeks poll.

Ross leaves the BBC

Jonathan Ross has announced that he is leaving the BBC after 13 years with the corporation. The presenter hosted his own BBC One talk show, Radio 2 slot and film reviews programme for the broadcaster and was one of its highest paid stars.Ross was suspended for 12 weeks in 2008 after leaving a series of obscene messages on the answerphone of actor Andrew Sachs during a radio show presented by Russell Brand.
In a statement, Ross said that he had decided not to renegotiate his contract when it ends in July and that his decision was not "financially motivated".Writing on his Twitter page this morning, Ross said: "Good morning. My day is turning out to be far more interesting then I had anticipated ! See you later - have a good one."
Earlier this week, tabloid reports suggested that Ross would lose his contract with the BBC, with speculation that his Friday night TV slot could be filled by Graham Norton, who recently signed a new £4 million deal with the broadcaster. I think Jonathan will seriously regret this decision just give it a few months.

2010 Telly Part 1

This week hasnt been the best for Television alright we got Hustle and Celebrity Big Brother but i want more! This is about to change because next week sees the return of 2 of my fave shows Being Human and Survivors but do you still want more! Then heres what we've got to look forward too (Note More info soon as some channels and airdates arnet known).

Human Target-Coming Soon
So, what's it all about?
In short, the action centers around Christopher Chance (Fringe's Mark Valley) a contractor who offers a unique service: he assumes the identity of clients who are facing potentially fatal threats.Thats the main characters above and you may recognise Chi McBride or Emerson Cod as Pushing Daisies fan may know him.

Desperate Housewives Series 6-January 27 C4
So whats it all about?
The new episodes will resolve last season's cliffhanger involving Mike, Susan and Katherine, as well as setting up a new mystery surrounding Wisteria Lane newcomers Angie (Drea de Matteo), Nick (Jeffrey Hordling) and Danny (Beau Mirchoff).

Happy town-Coming Soon
So whats it all about?
Haplin, a small town in Minnesota has its first crime following a period of peace after a series of unsolved kidnappings. Not alot else is known but i could see it becoming a sort of "Harpers Island" type show.

Whitechapel Series 2-Coming soon ITV1
This series Chandler, Miles and Buchan return to solve a series of copycat murders reminiscent of crimes committed by the infamous Krays. While Whitechapel I was gothic and bloody, Whitechapel II will be brutal and oozing paranoia. It will be full of the history, texture and detail that gave the first series its distinctive personality, but for Chandler, Miles, Buchan and the team this time it gets personal and takes them to some very dark places.

The Vampire Diaries-January ITV2
Yet another Vampire show aimed at the Twilight/True Blood fans. Two undead brothers, played by Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, fight over a local girl (Nina Dobrev) who bears a striking resemblance to a girl they both once loved.

V- March Sci Fi channel
This remake of the classic '80s cult series follows what happens after a bunch of alien spacecraft park up in the skies above the major cities of the world. But are these visitors as nice as they seem.

This is a ok lineup right? Well theres plenty more Telly treats and this is just the tip of the iceberg dont you worry. More 2010 previews soon.....

The Top 10 funniest jokes from the Fringe Festival

The Edinburgh Fringe festival is the place to go to see your faverouite comedians and upcoming stand ups.Every year there is a contest for the best jokes and here is the top 10 for you.The first one which is the winner might take some time to understand it took me two days literally when i was in bed one night still didnt find it hilarious but judge for your self:

1) Dan Antopolski – "Hedgehogs - why can't they just share the hedge?"

2) Paddy Lennox – "I was watching the London Marathon and saw one runner dressed as a chicken and another runner dressed as an egg. I thought: 'This could be interesting.'"

3) Sarah Millican – "I had my boobs measured and bought a new bra. Now I call them Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes because they're up where they belong."

4) Zoe Lyons – "I went on a girl's night out recently. The invitation said 'dress to kill.' I went as Rose West."

5) Jack Whitehall - "I'm sure wherever my dad is, he's looking down on us. He's not dead. Just very condescending."

6) Adam Hills – "Going to Starbucks for coffee is like going to prison for sex. You know you're going to get it, but it's going to be rough."

7) Marcus Brigstocke – "To the people who've got iPhones: you just bought one, you didn't invent it!"

8) Rhod Gilbert – "A spa hotel? It's like a normal hotel, only in reception there's a picture of a pebble".

9) Dan Antopolski – "I've been reading the news about there being a civil war in Madagascar. Well, I've seen it six times and there isn't."

10) Simon Brodkin (as Lee Nelson) – "I started so many fights at my school - I had that attention-deficit disorder. So I didn't finish a lot of them."

Funny? You decide my personal winner out of this list would have been NO. 8 from the legendary Rhod Gilbert and in second for me NO. 7 Marcus Brigstocke but thats my opinion!

End of an Era

Tonight sees the Tenth Doctor regenerate into the Eleventh and everyone will be wondering how its all going to end. Ive had my own theories most of them wrong but for some reason i dont think the Doctors regeneration will be like the others i think something different will happen! Also the four knocks wil "break your heart" according to David Tennant so the knocks arnet the Timelords. Whatever happens David Tennant will leave the show tonight and later this year we can find out what our new Doctor will be like. All theres left to say is "Thanks David for making Doctor Who the best programme on television!" He will be missed by all. (except Matt Smith probibly!)
